In the right hands freelining can be a killer as the fish don't feel any resistance
the expert needs to make sure that they don't take the hook down too far which is why bolt rigs were designed

definately the old way ....i really like fishing with a float because i think the fun of fishing is watching the float not nodding off waiting for a bite alarm to wake you up.

Talking

I Enjoy Float Fishing And Quiver Tipping, Slowly Getting Into Trotting On The Rivers, I Used To Do The Bite Alarm Thing When I First Got Into Fishing About Four Years Ago But As Some People Have Said Thats A Lazy Way To Fish, Only Do It Occasionaly In The Summer, If I'm Feeling Lazy

I love pole fishing. I just love it when the elastic comes screaming out and a big fish is on. Can't beat the presentation either!

Most of my best Tench have been on long range legering and a lot of others on the Pole
There is a place for the old Pop-up float method for Tench but you've got to have them in the right place
