I normally say that we need more junior anglers but this sort of behaviour makes me think twice.

i was fishing a small lake just out side a town a few years ago an there was a group off lads fishing... well tryin to fish. as the night got on they more they drunk so they thought it would be funny trying to start a fight with me!
after the first 2 hit the water hard the rest legged it.mind you its handy being a 6ft 16st bouncer

thank god we dont have that sort of trouble here in malta,nice and peacefull fishing, just like it used to be in the uk.

i agree completly with what everyone is saying.
youngsters without respect, manners or knowledge of what they're doing are ruining are wonderful sport. for egsample,
a couple of years ago i was fishing at hall farm near Great Yarmouth opposite a big island when all of a sudden a 2oz lead came flying through the trees an landed 2feet away from me. i flew round there it was a bunch of kids messing around, i shouted they apologised and that was that. imagine if that had hit me on the head!!! maybe i wouldn't be writing this now.

i no how it feels... im 12 and have waited to get my membership for my local water for 3 years... i eventually got it this season, i get down too my local lake(with my membership and rodlicence) and i see youths my age and alot older using big size 4 barbed hooks(the rules say 10 barbless max) 30/40lb line(when the fish average around 4/5lb). They damage the fish with there sea fishing gear and as clabby said there chucking the rudd and roach halfway across the lake too put them back!?!!??. I certainly know they havnt got a membership too fish there in the first place...and im pretty sure they havnt got a basic rod licence either. Is this what anglers deserve when they go fishing 1. For a hobby 2.For some piece and quiet and 3. To get away from the youths near were u live.
