everyone has there own opinions when it comes to a pole mate, i realy like the feel and look of the Maver competition 151 pole 14.5m and for £499 the package seem good, but there is a preston pole i quite fancy thats £399 the Preston carp competition 14.5m? but i have at the moment a MAP CFS Commercial Fishery Specialist Pole 14.5 meter, got 1 top 3 kit and 4 power 2 kits, and it was the best i could afford at the time it was about £200? and i like it alot. prob at its best at 11.5 meters. your better off going in to a shop and having a hold of the poles and find one thats best for you, rather than relying on an artical or advert.

I always say to anyone who is thinking of buying a pole to go and have a feel of one or two that fits into your price range then and only then make your choice....asking people what is a good pole is always like asking what numbers are comeing out on the loto....you cant really say because everyones opinions are different so all you can do is give a rough guide line really....if i was to tell you what i use you would fall about laughing because it is so cheap but it is fine for me and my needs and it has caught anything from Gudgeon to 20lb carp for me without a problem....ok i will tell you what it is then......Leeda Assassin 11mt....one power top two kit and two match two top kits at £120 when i got it brand new a couple of years ago....you can laugh now

Not used it but it is a 11mt pole and very much in the same category as all 11mt really with two top kits, strong and will take a big elastic made by Daiwa means it should be a good pole....but in the AT this week there is a write up on the LEEEDA ASSASSIN pole and i do have one of these that i drought a couple of years ago now cheap and very strong comes with three top kits and in the same price range £140/£150.....don't be put off by the name Leeda this pole is a great 11mt pole and i have landed a 20lb carp with it with ease...one to bear in mind i say

IT'S good I've had a play with one now trying to persuade SWMBO that I have got to have one -- not an easy task here I can tell you
