Hydroelastic

Image

Just thought I would post some info about hydro elastic, it comes in two differant colours, white and black. They are thinker than normal elastics because of their hollow interior. Considering the thinkness hydro is very soft and i'd grade the white at around a number 10/12 and the black being around a 14.

I heard that they are looking at making a lighter one also

Daiwa Hydroelastic delivers a wide range of settings within one set up: perfect for mixed fisheries and high catch rate venues.

Set the tension for medium size fish and this Daiwa pole elastic will perform at its lower rating retracting perfectly every time.
Hook a big fish and it will increase towards its higher rating as it is loaded with more give than standard elastic.

It has a hollow construction, which is filled with a fluid.
The elastic walls are held apart by the fluid when stretched and this performs as a soft-core shock absorber allowing extra stretch when a big fish is hooked.

The new heavy duty red Hydroelastic is incredibly strong and will stop just about anything that swims!
Looks like they have a Red one now also - has anyone experimented with it?

Exclamation

ther is a massif range of hyrdos by daiwa. not just black and white.

blue - 6-10
white - 8-12
grey - 10-14
black - 12-16
purple - 14-18
red - 18-22
brown - 20-26

i have had a go of the white, grey and black. they r extremely stretchy and i wouldnt use them on a pond with alot of reeds where good sized fish are, otherwise they will just pull u str8 into the reeds and u will find it difficult to get them out. they are best suited to ponds with mainly open water. However, i would recommend takin a 1 where ever u go as they can handle fish way over ther rating. a black hydro could land a 25lb+ carp.

Hey Poacher, welcome to the forums. I didnt relise they did that many colours. For the fishing I do i'm normally on a black although a red comes in handy when you need man handle them.
