Salford Angling Club

Bit of a long shot,
A local pond near me is marked private and that members of Salford Angling Club only allowed to fish.

The water is near to Astley,Manchester, you get to it off the A580 into Higher green Lane and continue over the canal at the Boathouse pub and just follow the lane.

I have trawled the internet but cannot find any reference to Salford Angling Club.

From my youth I seem to remember this pond was owned by 'kellogs' but i have no further info

Any one any knowledge

hey welcome to the forum. Had a quick look myself on the net with no luck.. although I guess a lot of fishing clubs wont have any literature on the net..

Have you tried contacting the land owner? farm house, or anyone to ask near by?

Darren.
