It is all down to feeding really, little and often is the norm but sometimes it pays to break the rules on that and a good helping of free bait at the start of your session might be worth considering with some slow release attractants like pellets, chopped worm and dead red maggots is another good holding bait but remember that fish can get through a lot of feed very quickly and once they are not finding this feed they will go into another swim to look for it that is why you should be feeding at least three swims up and that means a lot of bait will be needed.
Once the fish start to go off your swim it is a sign they are in your other swims feeding this happens when you start to catch a few and this disturbs the fish so they feed less and move on,alternate your swims you fish going from one to another is a good way of keeping fish coming in and keeping them on the feed.
With winter round the corner you will not need that much feed when the cold weather comes but right now they are feeding well so you should keep the feed going in and make sure you use plenty of attractants, liquid worm, predator plus things like that are all worth using....good luck

Thumbs up feeding

try a small cup at the start and 1/2 a small cup every 3 or 4 fish
remember if you feed a pot full of bait after every fish you might put enough bait in so you dont get many bites
especialy true on cannals & rivers where fish can be few & far between
cheers worms
