yes matee .. if i fish on the pole which is regular as i tend to switch between tip and pole .. i use 4mm expanders on 16 hook .. apart from pellets the only other bait i use is chopped worm mixed with casters and hemp

hook size 16 is no problem for 4mm.

I use hook size 18 for this, to improve the presentation and it works very well all the time
