Sorry i can not help on this one but unless you are buying in bulk and i mean large amounts then it will work out expensive......i have seen prices of £5 a pint now that is very steep and i for one would not pay that kind of money for them....maybe a change of bait is the answer for now like worms now in this weather (rain)you should be able to get a good amount and remember that worms keep for a few weeks with no trouble or cheap luncheon Meat and Bread all are good baits to use but i would not go on line for Maggots/Casters they are over priced

Do you have a garden ?? or a shed

Try growing your own
there are a few sites giving instructions how but the basics are

biscuit tin with lids but with tiny holes in

fill with bran & piece of meat (chicken)
only allow large meat flies to land and lay once you've got a few blows on the meat cover it so no more flies can land put it in a shady cool place and wait
once you have a load of maggots with their black spot then move them off the meat to harden off in either bran or corn meal
and keep cold before use

remember as the maggots grow the meat STINKS so it needs to be at the bottom of the garden

Spot on very under used these days i think and there free as well if you dont mind a bit of digging....always worth having a few in store for when the bait shop is closed or those spur of the moment sessions and they keep for weeks in cool conditions....even start your own wormery
