Help Needed

Hiya

I am London lad and have recently moved to the midlands " Derbyshire" have seen lots of lakes nearby but must admit I am a canal or river fishing man really. I just wondered if any of you know a good spot near here. I live in Swadlincote. I am not at all means great at fishing just love the odd go at it. I would like a nice easy one to start off with then some more challenging ones as I go. i am looking for coarse fishing and have recently bought all new stuff so i am looking foward to getting going.

any information would be greatly received
