im no expert but heres how i do it.
light/medium feeder rod a nice light reel with a good drag loaded with 8lb line. my rig is a simple free running feeder rig. although rather than having a swivel or a link running on the line i like to use the korum feeda beads. it removes the friction of metal on line and also removes the need to have a shock bead between the feeder and swivel. For feeders i use two types depending on the flow and depth of the swim im fishing. on slower shallower stretchs i tend to use the small middy fast feed in 1oz. on faster or deeper waters i like to use something a bit bigger and heavier so i go for the drennan medium blockend feeders in 1 1/2 to 2oz. for hook lenghts i go down to 6lb line and a size 14 hook. i find anything between 12 to 14 inches is a good lenght any shorter and the bites tend to dry up and any longer and it can be a bit difficult to hit bites. other than that its standard feeder tactics accurate and regular casting. if ive missed anything let me kow and il do my best to answer it for you.
