Hi Worms
I use John Wilson Avon barbel system. With a bait runner reel
Avon top for float fishing and free lining work,
Quiver tip for feeder and straight lead work,
Hope this helps

depends what method. if your using a method feeder avon top 1.5lb - 2lb test curves probably better than a quiver which id use for swim feeder / open end feeder

I dont think quivers have any advantage over avon tops as barbel aren't exactly shy biters and believe me even a small barbel will bend a 1.5lb tc right around
