Favourite winter bait for carp and tench

I know this time of year can be depressing(fishing wise) but whats your favourite baits for big fish on commercials

It can also be depressing for a lot of thing XD

But with my very little expirience i would say worms

one of my fav baits this time of year, is maggot .I put a curry powder on them night before. Cannt beat it!!!

you still cant beat abit of paste this time of year. or garlic meat. but not the shop bought stuff my own one. and if you want to know what it is tuff! as its getting me some places on the local open matches.

Maggots brought up to body temperature are the finest winter bait

Depends where you live, but I prefer sausage meat, but worms are fine

red hot peperami bt it depends water conditions etc
a pop up blasted to the horizon catches its fair share of fish this time of year and so do zigs mid water.

i think in the winter big smelly baits work best for the larger fish. they dont want to expel their energy rooting round for food so if they can get an easy meal its much more appealing
