A match rod... its forthings like; roach, rudd, perch, tench
a roach rod << does it even exist a coarse rod is the same as above.

A coarse or match rod would be great for all medium size fish ( i take medium by 1-6lbers?) they will give you more of an adreanline rush as the fish will appear to fight harder on lighter takle apposed to a strong 2.5lb TC carp rod
