coarse fishing

hi i am a new angler and would like to know if i should buy a match rod or a coarse rod for fishing in canals and what type of lures should i use?


Also what type of fish are in canals?

if you fishing lures use a spinning rod, a course rod is designed for float fishing with bait such as maggots,corn,meat, etc,

a course rod is a match rod, just some are better then others depending on how much you pay for them.
