feeder rod

hi, i have a mitchell dominator feeder mh 11foot, i use it for bream fishing on local lake do you think i can use it for barbal on river with 8lb main line, thanks

i have used my garbolino 12ft feeder for barbel fishing and thats just a bog standard feeder rod so i see no reason why not although you would get better results with a specialised rod as i later found out

to be honest im sure the rod would be fine. ive have carp to 8lb on a basic browning feeder rod. just make sure the reel is up to it,
