kennet and avon canal

heya all doin match on kennet and avon canal in reading can anyone tell me of the types of fish in there and good tactics for it

heard it chub barbel and tench what elastic and like strenght would u suggest for these??

when i've fished there (only twice) i caught nothing but chub up to about 2lb ish.. but lots of them aslo wouldn't fish to light as these fish have some power would go with a number 6 elastic to a 0.14 hi tech line right through to a 16 hook bread flake seems to bring the most bites

i use the browning senex which is o.14 diameter and 4 lb breaking strain although different lines of the same diameter state different breaking strains best just to forget the pound and use the diameters

just got some 4 lb stuff thats onfront of the iycf 4 lb so that is right isnt it :d

as long as its got a 4lb breaking strain,
