match rules??

can anyone give me a rough outline of how to play a match
do you have to use a rod or pole
do you have to be a member of a club
can you use gadgets like alarms and bait boats
any other rules i should no

It depends what kind of match you are planning to fish!
Most clubs to match fishing in the region of pole, waggler feeder and sometimes a bit more but not often.
You can use any technique you like in a match but bear in mind, think about the water, the fish in the water, look at previous results on that particular water and see which method outscores the rest of them
