Pike Fishing for Charity
Fish-In at Wraysbury One & Two
(by kind permission of RMC Angling) 9th February 2003 The annual Stoney and Friends Pike fish-in will take place on 9th February 2003 at both Wraysbury One and Two. Entry to the event is £10.00 per person (accompanied under 16’s £5.00). All proceeds FROM the Event will go to Macmillan Cancer Relief. As at all Stoney and Friends events, there will be the usual huge raffle at the end of the day with numerous prizes to be won. Tickets for the raffle will be on sale on the day to all participating anglers. Gates open at Wraysbury One at 06.00 for registration. Fishing ends at 15.30, and the gates at Wraysbury Two will be closed at 16.00 allowing anglers time to get to the main Wraysbury One car park for the raffle which will be drawn at 16.30. There will be a mobile catering van present offering a variety of hot food and drinks. Entry is by ticket only which must be applied for prior to the event. Entry forms can be found at www.stoneyandfriends.co.uk (just click on the Pike on the home page). Or on FISHINGmagic here: Stoney Pike Fish-in. For anyone who has not heard of Stoney and Friends, I can advise you that they are a small GROUP of likeminded anglers, headed up by Allan Stone, who arrange fish-ins each year at Wraysbury and Yateley, with the sole intention of raising money for Macmillan Cancer Relief. To date, over £54,000 has been raised and passed on to Macmillan through their activities. This has only been possible due to the generosity of our many sponsors, RMC for generously donating waters, and you the anglers for attending the events and generously purchasing raffle tickets, etc. I hope as many of you as possible can attend the fish-in on 9th February 2003, and don’t forget, it’s a fun day out fishing for a good cause, not a match or anything too serious. The only thing taken seriously is the welfare of the fish. Chris Isaacs Treasurer Stoneyandfriends |

Re: Pike Fishing for Charity
Just to let you all know that 80 tickets have now been sold. We believe over the two lakes there are at least 150 swims, leaving the potential for another 50 people to join us.
In view of the fact that it's less than two weeks away, please remind anyone who you know that might be interested in the event, and get them to send their applications in asap. Thanks Chris Stoneyandfriends |
