Dissclaimer----------------------------------
I'm not shore I understand the question. ------------------------------------------ It seems to me that Take-A-Part (TAP) and waggler are the most common strategies during competitions. (In Sweden) I've never heard of anyone feeder fishing during a competition. |

yes the only difference using a pole in compettion is that you can direct your ground bait or whatever you are using as feed into the direct location...& then you can fish straight on top of it with your bait
waggler is good for comps but with a pole you can get finer line & lesser float i came third in a competion using a waggler so they are not bad its just getting the set up right best of luck ![]() |

The main benefit of a pole over a rod is you are connected to the fish the second the float goes under as you never have slack lint to take up first, pole fishing is a lot more accurate as you never need to feed more than around your pole tip with your hook-bait always directly in the part of the swim you are feeding, the elastic tip makes it difficult to pull the hook on fish rated to the elastic. poles are more precise but a fishing rod is more fun and you need more skill when casting.
Fishing Poles are normally better in a competition. Fishing Rods are generally more fun (unless you try a method feeder on the pole for carp, Now this is fun!) ![]() |
