i have been match fishing about 2 years now
i have used all sorts of baits depending on venue
paste is good as long as you can keep it on the hook or try a 6mm pellet on a band fished over 3 mm pellets

how is your match fishing going?????

Hello Lads,
I have been match fishing for over 15 years starting out as a junior, wouldn't think i will ever win Fishomania but id like to think im pretty competent, iv had a few club and open match victories. If anyone wants to know anything let me know, i might be able to help or i might not, but if i can i will. As for paste, i quite often fish it. basically its ground pellets mixed with water. You can mix it how you like wet or dry, i often find a wet mix best. a problem is the paste comes off as you put it through the water. A gud solution is to put a cable tie around your top three and dangle the paste from it. When you reach were you want simply flick it off. I know stiffer mixes can be just as potent, as paste originated with carp anglers who cast in excess of 75 yards.
