You might have to get some groundbait each week mate with your pocket money, cause if you aint going till the summer you have time to have a good hord before you leave........i think the tactics will work on the feeder, but i would try to find a spot thats maybe been fished before and ball out 10 balls of groundbait just to get them going.
Some of the shoals of bream are big and can go on and on, alot of fish to keep in the swim, you won't over feed i don't think. ![]() |

HI jack,
Im 15 and I no how it feels to not be loaded and buy lots of fishing gear. My tip is to ask for fishing gear for your birthday and christmas presents. Soon enough you will have a load of gear. My technique for bream fishing is to locate a shoal first and stalk it with a swim feeder and keep on slinging in lots of hook bait samples to keep them in range and interested. If you hook one then try to reel it in quick so you don't spook the shoal. Hope this helps Tom |

I like your tactics bronwee good fishing ideas ,you have the edge ..........i remember when my Dad when he was alive ..he was a good, he was a top match Angler fishing in Denmark and Ireland.................but back to your tactics...i remember being dragged out of shcool by my mum to go and look at a keepnet full of Roach on the river Ant in Norfolk every fish out of forty was over a pound with the biggest being over two a good net of fish to any man .. but my point is when he struck into the roach side ways he would get another bite quick but strike up-wards and the shoal would move and the next bite wasn't for an hour !!......when catching fish you have to look at the bigger picture............so i like your thoughts and at 15 you could be a top Angler.... keep it going bud...
