Chub tips please....

Hi all im off to the river wear in the morning for a spot of chub fishing just looking for tips on baits and tactics, i was thinking of trotting and the general opinion is that bread flake and crust is an idiot proof bait for chub but how do i fish flake wont it just fall off ??????

It does and that's the beauty of it
it breaks up to form lots of little bits that attract the fish

OK it means that you have to rebait regularly but it means you don't need to spook these easily frightened fish with balls of groundbait

Would suggest some liquidised bread at the start but only a little and don't fish immediately slide it in quietly then tackle up slowly
