yep i have been obessed with tench since the first time i went fishing and caught a 4lb tench as my first fish. They are lovely hard fighting fish and im amazed more people dont target the species.

I tend to target them early season then move on to Carp a bit later
going to try a local place in a couple of months to see what's happening
Tench Heaven and it's only 150 foot across

i really like tench but i always seem to have real troubles trying to catch em....which is a shame for me

NO!!!!!!

not when you can bag up to 60 fish in a 5 hour session and most were over 4lb

I agree, im obsessed with tench. So hard to catch though. Best day i've had catching tench was in Norfolk using the old luncheon meat and a flat float. Back to the old school really. Worked a dream that day. Straight out of Mr Wilsons text book, ahh he was the man..
