Best Bait For Winter Fishing?

what do you guys use in winter to catch fish? what do you put on your rigs etc, and if you use ground bait what do you use? i been 2day was very windy but i had a nibble on a strawberry boilie that was it lol, i used pellets and boilies ttoday? what do you guys recomend to use? and liquids and stuff like tht? cheers

I've not carp fished in winter -----yet so will be watching for replies with you

nope because i want to no for course fishing

Maggots, bread, corn, and casters

maggots and caster you wanna be sprinkling 4 to 5 around your float (if your float fishing) every couple of minutes, fish won't be hard on the feed so if your visiting a venue which hasn't been fished for a while your actual chances of catching are very slim, you see fish in winter only feed if they know theres food avalible to them they burn off too much of there reserves looking for food so if there isn't a steady supply of food they will just switch off and save energy.

the fish that you do manage to find and keep in the swim you want to keep them there and competing for your free offerings so like i mentioned above 4 to 5 maggots/casters thrown in every so often and eventually they will find your hook bait.

Bread and corn if your fishing rivers where there is a lot of well oxygenated water fish such as chub are constantly on the feed and will take baits such as bread and corn with ease

HOPE YOU Dont Think This A Stupid Question But What Is The Best Way To Use Corn As Bait? Reason Why I Ask Is I Have Never Had Much Luck Using Corn.

best bet is puttin it on a hair rig or something

I know BigbadAlbert suggests a hair rig and it does work well but I have had as much success with three kernels of corn on a size 8 hook as I have with the hair rig
