raisins as a bait

has anyone heard or used raisins as a bait for carp, barbel, roach
& if you have were you succesful ??????

Not used it my self but some folk have tried with tiger nuts using the raisins chopped as a scatter / particle feed

I have tried Raisins a couple of times. Never really caught much with it other than a few roach and small Chub. Lost a small Jack Pike on it! I even saw it take the bait!!!

i found this while browsing a grounbait site wonder if it could be used for carp only one i have seen with raisins in.

Just read the article it's actually for the small eatingtype of catfish the Septics (err Septic Tanks=Yanks) catch but possibly would catch carp too got to give it a try secretly of course can't have my son knowing I got a bait he hasn't

How sneaky of you !!!!!! i think i might vary it a little and try it as a groundbait for pike had a lot of sucess this season fishing for pike over groundbait of chopped fish and tuna etc.
