Winter time i would use any bright bait maybe a fluro as waters 9/10 are clearer this time of year ...it can be a visual thing for the carp, a single hook bait and small pva bags,i'm talking walnut size no bigger and the quick melt type pva bags/netting, with crushed boilies in, no lose feed!!.........cause if a carp is over your bait and wants to feed then you have nailed him, stick loads of freebees out and a fish could feed for three days and still leave your hookbait.......i like white chocolate 10mm boilies in winter best....

Talking

I seem to use a bread flake on the hook firing dog biscuits in this will attract the carp and maybe they will ignore the dog biscuits for the breadflake.

Another method would be to use sweetcorn over a large bed of pellets and croundbait or catmeat.

as a semi pro id first want to know what size fish you are after... if its small fish under 4lb id say a plain bomb with corn maybe even a very small feeder with maggots but if the fish are larger id suggest either corn with micro pellet in a small pva bag or a worm over a maggot feeder
