Hi OP

i might aswell be called Mr one-rig

keep it simple stupid is my motto

from rodtip down my setup is invariably as follows

suitable weight of some sort
bead
swivel
8 inches of 10lb ironsilk
size 4 super specialist
1-2 inch hair with some bait on it

this will catch most things that swim worth catching

top tip! claires accesories (girls shop) sells these little black hairbands, tiny they are, black and 100 for £2

better than any baitbands in any tackle shop

i avoid tackle shops if possible

my 1 ounce leads are currenty 4 X 2p's superglued together with a swivel superglued on, they roll the riverbed LOVELY!

let it roll!

Totally depends what im fishing for and what technique plus venue, i probably fish the same combination about 10 times a year and i fish twice a week, So dont realy have a fav, but as far as line goes i always use the silstar range for hook lengths carnt beat it.

Coz its the same stength but about a third as thick as most of the other lines on the market. So gives you the edge.

Regarding snags i dont do em
