no not that stuff
theres a council own'd pool not far from where i live and been told there's some good size carp in there 20+ and whispers of a 30 only problem for me is the weed is said to 3/4ft deep and the water up to 12ft deep. Its free to fish it so blanking aint costing me anything- have you got any tips how to tackle such a pool ? its a fair size water and takes about 15 mins to walk round it and as loads of rushes growing round the out side of it. The water is very clear and any bait's going in are snached by the diving birds ...do you think pre baiting at night on the same spot would get the fish to clear the weed there or would my bait just be masked by the weed and be waisting time and money? look 4ward to you idea's ![]() |

a rake on a rope should do the trick, Ive know people do that down my local canal.. not sure if you would be breaking any laws so you may want to ask someone from the council maybe, but i cant see anyone minding... have you saw anyone fishing there before?

hi daz yeah think give the council a bell to be on safe side
people do fish it on and off 1 bloke did stay aweek and never had a bite. its difo got carp in but just seems a hard pool but if can get a spot sorted free of weed might stand a better chance. hopes ![]() |

If you find surface baits are getting taken then use you favourite meat base and gradually ring the changes until you find a bait that they take but if it's not fished a lot then if you can try bread first on a pond where it's not been used for a while it's a magic bait
