Method Feeder Or Pva Bags

Interesting to see a article in the free mag in the AT this week about what is best,Method feeder or P.V.A bags.
Having used both i am not sure what out scores the other but i do know that pva bags can be used for surface fishing where as the method can not for the obvious, maybe a method feeder will cast longer because of the extra weight it can carry and some carpers now incorporate the two methods in there fishing using pva mesh sticks with method feeder as there main baiting attractant.
Over all i think that they both have there plus and minus sides and both are proven catchers so it is down to your choice really but one thing to remember is the method feeder is banned on some waters so with that in mind i would say PVA bags are the best to use but to be honest there is no real difference

Stan my friend, there is a MASSIVE difference, and a very important one. Method feeders are cheaper

Each method has it's uses so it's always worth having it in your armoury

the method feeder allows you to throw huge lumps of feed into a small area with a huge splash and a cloud of feed as it breaks on hitting the water - which some fish are turned on to feeding by

PVA bags allows you to put the same feed on the bottom without the cloud effect of the feed

Method feeders go to the bottom EVERY time

PVA bags can be made to float before they dissolve so can be used to put surfave baits out at distance too

So I always carry both
