Floating Baits

Last summer i got into surface fishing for carp.

I had lots of good fun with floating crust on a hook.
Dog biscuits were winners too.

Can anyone recommend other hookable floating baits ?

Has anyone tried Oily Floaters by Sonu ?????

Would a floating hair rig method work ?
I thought about putting a cork ball on the hair and covering it with paste . My worry is what about it the fish swallows the cork ball !!

Cheers

TC

Tree Catcher,

I have used hair rigs to surface fish, You just have to make sure it's not too heavy and the floating baits you use should keep it boyant, I have used hair rigged dog biscuit to good effect,
Good luck and Tight lines

All I use mate is loose feed of dog biscuit and once they start competing for the bait then they don't know what's what then I use a Fruitella pop up on a hair rig. Had many fish on that!

We are not allowed to fly fish because the local council own the pond so won't deny access to non fishers
