Re: Just Started

Well i am not really bothered about the ize to start of with, but in a couple of years i would like to be catching 20lb ers. For my first few carp, i would be happy with a few LBs, not massive but i would like to just get a feel for them.

Re: Just Started

Well i would spend £30 or a good rod and around £30 for a reel, if you have a local tackle shop you could go there if you don't i would order a free catalogue 'Fishtec' with loads of great rods and reels.
Do you live in England? if you don't you might not get the catalogue, but there is a web site www.fishtec.co.uk

I kniow many of you UKers mono swear-bys, but I have been using superlines such as spiderwire and powerpro for years and wouldnt go back for anything. I sugest you try them and see what happens, I think youll be happy with their preformance.
