home made paste

Hi....

i tried to make some homemade paste 2 days ago an it worked to perfection.

The way i did mine was to get some expander pellets and put them into a food processor until they were like dust. Next i added egg white into the proccessor with the pellet powder and blitz it all together. I kept adding egg until i thought the texture and stickyness was right. The best way is trial and improvment. I stored mine in a plastic freezer bag and left it in the fridge over night. Then when i was by the bank all i had to do was to squeeze the bag to soften it up a little bit.

I tried my paste and had a good mixed bag of skimmers and carp.

hope this helps you.

When i made my paste i just expander pellets, which have a kind of fishmeal flavouring to them, so i would say my paste took the fishmeal flavouring of the pellets.

However next time i make it i have some strawberry flavouring that needs using up so i am going to add that to the paste to see if that as any extra effect.

You possibly made it too wet or too dry
Paste can be a beggar to make but it doesn't stay on the hook long anyway you'll be very lucky to get 2 casts out of it even gentle dropping it in with a pole

what is it you mixed the togther with?

I found that if you mix the paste with egg white rather than water, this is for the simple reason that the egg white makes it sticky.

Ramsis Pal, nice vid, but the thread is asking how to nmake paste, not how to use it to bait up a swim when wrapped around another bait
