I used tlive in a town called Halesowen(wish i still did!)and we had the Laple canal it's an ex canal and it had some monsters in there, in the summer of 74 the real hot one i give myself mt first case of sunstroke sat there just watchin um basking think thats what realy first tured me on to fishing and back then people still thorght carp were uncatchabule .Not like now every one and there dogs a carp fisherman.

what is your best baits for canal carp atm i have pellets boiles ( tutti frutti )

big boilies when bream start getting there heads dwn on me corn

worms n maggots i will also be using hemp i find the pellets bring the bream so if you won't loads of bream in the net get the pellets out

the thing that got me into fishing was watching these bloody great fish in the laple canal halsowen from google earth it looks klike its been fild in but now i live in redditch so im only 15 to 20 mins from the tardibigge canal but have nover fished it due to they domt like you grtting on busses with lots of fishing tackle but if you ever whant to try it its sposed to be good by the bridge and marine or ferther down my the res ov oirits baa water but if you want to know a stretch of canal you con fish for free thats not to far away from Redditch we shall have to talk cant go giveing all my secrets away .
