Hi guys. Here is a guide to help begginers whith their knots. Please don't have a go at me if you already know as this is to help BEGGINERS and some pro's who want to get better!
So - here are the top 3.

The last thing you want when fishing is for your knots to let yo down so here are some popular and easy ones to help get you started!

Blood Knot:
The most commenly used knot in the sea fishing world is most probley a blood knot. It is quick, easy, simple and above all - reliable! It is most usefull for tying hooks and swivels - and can gbe easily undone if needed by useing a forefinger and thumbnails, but sharply pulling the knot away from the object it's attached to.
HOW TO DO IT:
Feed the line through the hoop of the hook/swivel etc.
Pull back around and wrap around the first line 5 - 8 times.
Pull back through the bottom hoop and pull tight.
Wet with saliva and cut off a bit of the loose ends.

Grinner Knot:
Regarded as one of the strongest of knots, the grinner knot is most commenly used whlst typing braids as the knot is tied away from the hook or swivel, and then pulled tight onto the object whitch can prevent the know from slipping loose.
HOW TO DO IT:
Working basicly in the same way as a blood knot, although pull the line's loose end tight AWAY from the hook/swivel etc. and then pull the whole knot tight onto the swivel/hook etc.

Shockleader Knot:
The neccecary conditions for whitch this knot and the reasoning for it's use are simply as of it's stregnth - and is ussaly used for rock fishing, ledgering and boat/wreck/reef fishing. Basiclly, a grinner knot is tied in the main line, on top of the shockleader. You then tie an overhand knot in the end of the shockleader and pull the two knots together.

It is always good to wet the knot with something like saliva to stop to much friction whilst the knots are being pulled tight.
