how to start

hello crazy fishing people
in my other posts:
all about fly fishing!

a guide for beginners

what to do
i haven't fully explained what do do when starting!
well the first thing i did was have a go with my uncle in France and loved it but i needed more experience.so i did research on the internet(there will be some vids on my other threads).

the perfect place
i had to do research where to fly fish.eventually i found two reservoirs, and me and my dad drove down.we talked to an angler who old me everything-even where sunglasses when its raining because of safety. He gave us loads of advice!

eventually
then i thought i was ready to have a go so i got a brand new wilco rod with a couple of flies and went down.i got some tips and had great fun.the very same angler taught me to cast.and very quickly i caught my first rainbow!
yummy

so
i have been talking about myself a lot here but i have been fly fishing ever since(2 years ago)and i am currently gonna give course fishing a go(i bet it won't be as fun)

basically

Have a drive down and talk to a local fly fishery and talk to some anglers-and watch them.
I started practising in my garden and open fields casting(i have a big garden)
sure i looked like a bit of a fruit cake but it was worth it in the end-who knows maybe someday you or i might be fly fishing for our country.

the best skill in the world is teaching and learning and the satisfaction of learning something new is fantastic!

and i hope this advice has helped
