to be honest mate, perch most of the time if they see bait they will take it, they don't mind maggots but if you especially want the 2lb+ i would make sure there are perch that big where you are fishing an dif so try useing a size 14 hook with 5 or 6 maggots and loose feed maggots you could give that a go, or use 2 or 3 worms on a size 14 or 12 hook, you never no you might find a carp on the other end of your line.
