Last week i purchased a nash hooligun 1 man bivvy for my first night session at Tanhouse lake(south Glos). We had prebaited 2 nights in advance in the swim that we had seen a lot of carp in. We turnt up on friday 20th June and i put 3 rods out. I went with a couple of mates who just match fish. 20 minutes passed after my first cast on the right hand rod and i had a screaming run. After a 20 minute battle with the fish a 17lb common was landed which i believe is the lake record for this year. The session continued to produce the goods throughout the next 24 hours and 10 carp totalling 124lb fell to my 3 rods. It was the end of my first session on a reasonably hard water where i was hoping for just 1 fish. As you can imagine i was very pleased with the results and all i can say is i think the prebaiting paid off!
Anyone else had a good session lately?
