Got to agree start out simple brown bread crumb dried then blitzed in a blender then seived add something like Brasem and it works
when the ntench are on you can just add samples of hookbaits and sweetcron into it works for me
As for Carp heres the best I've found for SOME lakes

Wild Birdfood
Mollasses
Water
leave for 3 days before use
you need a spod or boat to deliver it but .............................
