Tench and crusian
I have just started fishing a new lake. First time i didnt get anything. I did see small fish's though so the next time i fished for those with the hope of them drawing in some big fish following the activity near my hookbait. I used JVS breem groundbait with some 6mm hallibutpellets and the hookbait was a 1,5cm peice of a worm. THe depth was 1.5m and i used a bottom down float (almost a waggler) with a 10.5fot rod (i havent gotten my 17ft matchrod yet so im using my UL spinning rod for now). After some small fish's I changed to a whole worm 5-7cm and threw it out as far as i could (after i was out of ground bait and the small fish's hadleft the spot i fished before) This resulted in a small Ruffe. how would you guys fish for tench and crucian in a big water with a 1.5m deapth. (I've been told that there are 3m deep sections, but i didn't find any) The best spot in the lake is like a cresent moon along the edge of the lake that seals in a half circle (with a radius of about 70m )of water. I'm chore that it's the best spot no matter what I'm fishing for but i can't get to it.
So do you guys have any tips? baits etc.
