Can you river fish for Roach, Perch, bream etc using fly reels or Centre pin?

What is the difference between Centre pin and Fly fishing reels ?

sorry for ignorance.
Both reels are the same being centre pins and yes you can fish for coarse fish with them but you have to know how to use them because you have no clutch or bail arm on them it is you that control the pin.

The reason you are getting a lot of tangles in your line on the reel is probably because you have too much or too little line on,it is important to have your line set right on your reel other wise you get tangles, also reeling back too quick can cause the same thing to happen so a slow retrieval is needed, also check your line for any kinks that might be there,if there are then change the line or cut and reset untill you can put new on
