I dont think iv seen a better run of thornback rays this season,

fished a mark near east church gap under the minster cliffs on sunday night, bait was whole herring attached using a method they use in south africa for shark fishing (obviously they use bigger bait fish)

between 2 of us we had 13 fish the smallest was around 6lb biggest was over around the 11-12lb mark

there all coming to spawn at the moment so there are a hell of alot of them about il post some pics when i can.
