southampton report.

its febuary,- south coast is devoid of fish,( well almost)
but me and a m8 fished anyway.
at a popular winter match venue which has shown poor results of late even when the flounder were supposed to be there.

here;-

i fished for about 5 hours over high water coz at low water there's no water , 'tis a shallow muddy estuary which might have a flounder or 2 in at any other time of the year.

unsurpriseingly we blanked.

and on that note as the tide ebbed away i left to fish town quay over low water for an hour or 2 . to avoid a total blank.
town quay - short pier in southamptons dock area.
fished for just long enough to avoid the rain & and to catch a pout then went home.
